A short statement
I consider myself a multi disciplinary artist. When I come across an open door my creative compulsion takes me through it; keeping my mind and work fresh as I discover new avenues to explore. Painting, sculpture, photomontage, words… one area leading to another. All connecting.
Continually fascinated and inspired by the human form I often draw upon feelings of isolation and alienation. These quiet, contemplative figures frequently occupy barren landscapes or are seen standing at the water’s edge. The paintings and sculptures often portray the juxtaposition of a strong exterior presence but unmasking and exposing the soft vulnerability that lies beneath.
As an artist in these turbulent times, it is my hope, as I share my thoughts and feelings, that I can cut through the noise, whisper something of meaning and connect with others.
The story so far…
